Using one-of-a-kind patent pending tools and unique processes Optical Radiance can retrofit any camera to "see" in the spectrum of three-strip Technicolor (circa 1935 - 1955). It is an all analog process that uses no digital color manipulation, all of the footage in our demonstration films comes straight out of the camera, as is.

Filmed with a standard cinema camera and lighting package. Modern cameras are designed to work well in low light but are poor at telling colors apart. They rely on software to squash and stretch the signal into a usable image, which results in subtle colors melding together into a sickly yellow-brown and strong colors turning into broad flat plastic-like patches. Colorists can do many things, but can't separate colors that have already mixed.

Colors are deep, vivid and alive while delicate skin tones remain true to life! You can spend hours (and dollars) working with color grading software, LUTs and other post processes and still won't be able to match the vintage technicolor images achieved with our analog color process. Save yourself from the frustration!
Our tools and process were designed to bring three-strip Technicolor back into the modern cinematography tool set, but, even if you aren't interested in old movies, filming in Optical Radiance will make your images stand out with more distinct colors, textures and dimension!
